Ke Dawei's Daily Life in China

Spring:

This farmer is applying some waterproofing to his rake for the rice paddy.  After raking and clearing the paddy this device is used flatten the lumps out of the field which is flooded at this time.  The teeth push any remaining vegitation into the mud where it will decay.

Local basket maker enjoying the warm day outside.

Typical at any country farm doorway.  A young student doing their homework.  This was a Sunday morning.  She probably had classes on Saturday morning.

Teachers taking primary school kids someplace.  The line was endless.  After I took a few pictures a I stayed there waving and saying "hello" and "good morning" to about 1000 kids who could all respond and were thrilled.  China is just at the breakover point to have the most speakers of English in the world, that is over 350 million.

Family out planting.
