Week 8: Business Interview: Assignment:
Write an article about a business. The article should
have a title, lead and article body. Interview:
Introduce yourself and be very polite.
Interview the owner as get as much information about them as possible.
Ask questions the ask follow up questions.
Follow up questions are questions that get more information about
something, extra information about something. For example but
not limited to the following: Business name,
Name, Location. Where the owner is
from? How did it happen he is in
business in Huangshi? Where was he
educated? How did they come
to be in the business they are in? Where did he get
the money to start his business? How and where does
he get his business products to sell? Anything about the
business or related to the business is good material. Use your imagination.
These questions will get you a little information.
You can then ask other questions, follow up questions, to get information
about the person and his business. He
may have an interesting story or other information.
Pay attention to all that he says. Write
what he says down so you can write your article well later.
It¡¯s up to you to dig out information and ask questions to get that
information. Think about what you
will ask before you start your interview. When
you interview you will think of more things that might be interesting to find
out about.
Write your title and summary and a good article.
Write the article in a story form that has a beginning, middle and end.
Make a flow in the story from the things you learn from the owner or
other people at the business.
The main goal is to write an article about the business and include some
interesting things about the person just like real articles do to create
interest. |
