Marlborough is the home of Ke Da Wei.  These views go from a big view of the United States down to a street map showing Crescent St where Da wei lives in America.  Marlborough is a quiet city of 40,000 people.  There are a few factories but most are small.  Most people work in service jobs or light industry in 1 to 3 story buildings.

The big US map.  Massachusetts is a state of the United States and is over on the right East side of the map

The Eastern side of the United States of America.  The word Hartford is right on top of the state of Massachusetts.

Massachusetts is now in view.  The capital of Massachusetts is Boston.  It's the one with the arm on the East side of the state.  The red pointer is pointing to Marlborough.

The full outline map of Massachusetts.  Marlborough does not have enough population to be recognized on the small Massachusetts view.  Marlborough has about 40,000 people.  It has more people than the towns listed above Massachusetts.  All the towns above Massachusetts are small town and cities with about 5,000 to 15,000 people.  You can just see the red pointer for Massachusetts.

Marlborough is now in view at the red pointer.  Marlborough is roughly about 8 kilometers by 20 kilometers.

This is Marlborough and it shows the streets.  Crescent street where I live is by the blue lake on the lower left.

Crescent street is on the lower left.  My house is right beside the grey area.  There are 5 houses on my side of the street and 4 on the other side.  It's very quiet there and no pollution.

I live in a two story house on a small plot of land.  There is enough room for a few small vegetable and flower gardens, 5 places to park cars, and good size lawn.  The weather is nice there with 4 seasons.  Winter is like Beijing.  Spring is mild 14-24 C temperatures and not damp or raining all the time.  Summer is warm with temperatures going from 18 to 32 and a few days are very damp and humid.  In Autumn things cool down going from 24 to 2 C.

Houses in this part of the country have cellars.  Houses are built on cement foundations that are the same size as the house.   The cellar is a cement room below the house.  The house sits on the cellar and also called a foundation.  Because a cellar is below the ground it does not freeze in the winter but some are heated.

Electricity, water, and sewer (waste) lines run into the house cellar from the street.  These things come from the streets.  All the streets have water, electricity, gas and sewer lines buried in them.  They go from the street to the houses, into the cellar.  Houses there do not have wall mounted heaters or air conditioners like in China.  There are no gas heaters which put fumes in the houses.  All heaters must have a pipe and have the burn air and gas go outside.  Showers or water heaters get their hot water from the house heaters or individual hot water tanks which heat water by gas or electricity.  These water heaters also have pipes running outdoors.  It is against the law to not have the go outside.

Houses have a big heater usually in the cellar.  The big heaters burn gas or electricity and have pipes running throughout the house like in buildings in Beijing. The houses are warm and comfortable.  All buildings are heated and no one wears a coat while at home or working in the winter.
