Kungfu schools:

   This city was next to Shaolin mountain which is the sacred mountain for Buddhists.  Kungfu is a component of Buddhism so many schools have sprung up between the mountain and the city.  Unfortunately the pictures do not give the impression of how many of students come here to study Kungfu.   The schools have many fields surrounding the school which are crammed with students.

The gateway to the largest of the Kungfu schools with the sacred mountain in the background.  I tried to get in to take pictures but the school officials would not allow it.

Again the pictures do not give the impression of all the students that were there.  The problem is I could not get pictures of the schools where the grounds were backed with thousands of students.

This school had 3 levels of fields that on this side and fields to the sides and in back of the school.  There was probably 4 thousand students in the fields of this school.
