Cave Home Construction:

Cave homes are quite common.  There are 40 million people in China living in cave homes.

Cave home remake.  The older bricks can be seen in the arch.  The hole to the right is an alter for Buddha.  The lady is the owner/builders wife.  The line running into the house is for cable (dish below).  The wife was on a couch watching soaps when I first looked in.

There are usually three sections to this type of home and usually connected inside but these were not for some reason.

The owner builder.  Note the older home in the back which will probably be updated next.

The inside stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, not by a lot but there is not central cooling or heating.

Most rural areas have cable available.  The dish is at the cave home being redone.  Towns of modest size usually have broadband internet at least available at internet bars.

This construction is right be the road and will be a store and home.
