Sculpture at the river park:

    A dedication is written on the barrel but it's in hanzi so could not be read.  Sort of stark at first sight the work is a fitting tribute to the people who made the city.  The city is cement and basically made from materials gotten from the mountains that surround the city.   

    China is in a period of phenomenal growth.  Government claims are somewhere around 10% over 10 years and slowing this year to 7%.
