Steam Train:

The pictures below are of 7012 a freight steam engine.  Below this are pictues of 6911 which is the last working passinger engine in China.  It's due to go out of service in October 2005. It runs a few legs of 50 to 100 kilometers around middle eastern Mongolia.  It was a surprise to bump into foreigners in a small town in Mongolia.  They came there for the single purpose of taking pictures and riding this train. A very expensive hobby.  There were 12 people in town from Germany, England and Scotland.

Train 7010 and 7912.  The pictures of the train on the grassland is of 7012.  7012 started out after I left the train station but caught up by we rode together along Route 303 for many kilometers.  About 50 kilometers from this spot they pulled in to a siding to let another train pass.  By chance there was a very small train station close by which I stopped at.  The pictures from that place are at Train Station.
