View to Samitai Great Wall from Jinshanling section:

  All the photos below are looking from unfinished end of the Jinshanling section over to the Samaiti section.  The Samaiti section is fully restored and the section of the wall where foreign dignitaries are taken.  If you see a photo in a newspaper or book it's almost always the Samaiti section.

The foreground wall is the end of the Jinshanling section.  To the lower right is the start of the Samaiti section. To the lower right is the bus dropoff point for Samaiti tours.

Starting point of Samaiti.

Bus drop off starting point for Samaiti visitors.  A cable car at the base of the mountain runs to the higher sections.  It looks like you could walk from the Jinshanling section but there is a river there and the wall broken.  Note the foot bridge in the lower right.
